DESCRIPTION:
Rourke is raised as a sniper by the Core, an underground paramilitary state whose purpose he has never seriously questioned. His first mission on the surface appears to fulfil that training until the truth of the organisation becomes much less noble. The role-playing story focuses on civilians, borders and language barriers, contrasting combat with quieter moments of everyday life during war. Human connection becomes essential when the ability to understand another person matters more than another successful shot. Rourke’s journey follows the consequences of discovering what his orders actually mean, asking how someone shaped entirely for military service can respond when the institution behind it no longer deserves his trust.
