In “Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue!” for the PlayStation, players take control of Buzz Lightyear as he embarks on a 3D platforming adventure to rescue his friend Woody, who has been stolen by a greedy toy collector. Buzz must navigate through various levels, from Andy’s bedroom to the outside world, using his rocket jet boots, arm laser, and spin attack to overcome obstacles and collect Pizza Planet tokens. These tokens are needed to progress to the next levels and unlock bonus areas. The game features characters from the movie, including Mr. Potato Head and Rex, who help Buzz along the way. The plot follows the events of the “Toy Story 2” film, where Woody is stolen by Al McWhiggin and Buzz must rescue him. The game culminates in a final battle with Stinky Pete at the airport.
