DESCRIPTION:
Sean explores the fictional city of Arostia while trying to repay his father's debt before time runs out. The Good Old Day$ combines metroidvania-style discovery with a rescue mission as imprisoned friends become part of the growing adventure. Four playable characters have different movement and interaction abilities, changing which routes and quests are available. Pixel artwork and scattered cultural references draw on an imagined late-twentieth-century childhood without removing the pressures facing its young cast. Decisions and repeated play influence the endings, encouraging another look at the city's underground passages and unresolved possibilities. Friendship, money and youthful curiosity all shape the search for a workable escape from Sean's situation.
