DESCRIPTION:
The American Dream imagines a 1950s exhibition where firearms are promoted as the solution to every part of daily life. Buddy Washington, a talking dog, guides visitors through the complex built by leading gun manufacturers, demonstrating their vision of a supposedly better future. The virtual-reality game uses that absurd premise for satire, asking players to experience ordinary tasks through an increasingly unreasonable reliance on weapons. Its cheerful presentation contrasts with the implications of the world being advertised. Rather than telling a conventional military story, the adventure explores an exaggerated consumer dream, turning routine activities into a pointedly strange tour of gun-centred domestic life.
