Spider-Man: Edge of Time for the Xbox 360 is a linear, story-driven action game that moves away from the open-world format of many other Spider-Man titles. The plot is a time-hopping adventure where two different versions of Spider-Man—the Amazing Spider-Man (Peter Parker) and Spider-Man 2099 (Miguel O’Hara)—must team up across a temporal divide. Their goal is to prevent the untimely death of Peter Parker in the past, which would lead to a catastrophic future for both of their timelines. The game features a “cause-and-effect” system, where the actions of one hero can instantly change the environment and events for the other.
