DESCRIPTION:
Shantae’s first adventure follows the half-genie heroine across Sequin Land to stop pirate Risky Boots from obtaining four elemental stones. Hair-whip attacks provide immediate defence, while magical dances transform Shantae into creatures such as a monkey, elephant or spider to overcome different obstacles. Search forests, deserts, swamps and icy regions, investigating labyrinths whose bosses guard further progress. Purchasable upgrades and hidden passages create reasons to return to familiar places, while a day-and-night cycle changes the atmosphere of the journey. Bolo, Sky and Rottytops join the cast as the adventure establishes the friendships and transformations that became central to the wider series.
