DESCRIPTION:
Resistance 2 continues Nathan Hale's struggle against the Chimera as the conflict reaches the United States. The campaign combines military science fiction with large encounters, unusual enemies and weapons designed around alternate firing methods. Players move through devastated cities and fortified locations while following Hale and the soldiers trying to contain the invasion. Some battles emphasise crowd control, while others require identifying a dangerous enemy's weakness or finding a safer position. The series' alternate-history setting gives the locations a distinctive mixture of familiar architecture and alien technology. This PS3 release is described for its campaign experience; discontinued multiplayer services are not treated as an included feature.
