DESCRIPTION:
Regions of Ruin combines a side-scrolling role-playing adventure with the gradual construction of a dwarf settlement. Exploring a hand-built continent reveals fallen kingdoms, hostile factions and mysteries guarded by dangerous creatures. Combat skills and equipment improve the hero, while rescued dwarves help develop the town and gather resources from discovered regions. Forging new items or breaking existing ones into materials links battlefield rewards with practical growth at home. Mercenaries can assist in encounters, and quests provide direction beyond simple exploration. The wider journey gradually becomes a recovery effort for a threatened people, making each new resource or recruit part of the settlement’s prospects for survival.
