Pokemon Diamond is a role-playing game (RPG) for the Nintendo DS that involves catching, training, and battling Pokemon to become the Pokemon League Champion:
Exploration
Players explore the Sinnoh region, which is rich in nature and myths.
Pokemon
Players can discover over 100 new Pokemon, including Mime Jr., Lucario, and Weavile. Players can also choose from three starter Pokemon: Chimchar, Piplup, or Turtwig.
Battles
Players engage in turn-based battles with other trainers and Gym Leaders. Gym Leaders are professional trainers who specialize in a particular Pokemon type.
Story
Players must thwart the schemes of Team Galactic, a crime syndicate that plans to use Pokemon to destroy the current universe and create a new one.
Features
Players can trade and battle with other trainers locally or online using Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Players can also import Pokemon from their GBA versions.
Gameplay
The game is fairly linear, with badges that can only be acquired in a specific order. However, players can revisit previously-visited areas to collect berries, fight trainers, or capture Pokemon.
