PREOWNED QuickJoy “Supercharger” joystick – a classic wired flight-style joystick, primarily made for

• Atari 2600 / 7800 – classic Atari consoles used this connector natively.

• Commodore series (e.g., Commodore 64, VIC-20, C128, Amiga) – used the same joystick standard as Atari.

• Other 80s computers & consoles – e.g., MSX, ColecoVision, TI-99/4A, X68000 and some clones used the same physical DB-9 port.

Important compatibility notes

• Just because a system has a DB-9 port doesn’t guarantee full compatibility; some platforms (like Mega Drive/Genesis) used internal electronics in their controllers which look similar but are wired differently and can even risk damage if connected incorrectly.

• Likewise, plug shape alone isn’t enough — electrical pinouts must match. Some systems (e.g., Apple II joysticks, certain ZX Spectrum interfaces) use DB-9 physically but aren’t electrically compatible without adapters.
