DESCRIPTION:
Take on international rally stages in a racing game whose presentation recalls the console racers of the late nineteen-nineties. Choose cars inspired by earlier rally legends, each with characteristics that affect how a course should be approached. Dirt, tarmac and snow create contrasting conditions, making control and judgement important even within the accessible arcade format. The emphasis is on driving skill and quick manoeuvres rather than a detailed off-track management system. Different global locations provide opportunities to practise adapting as the surface and route change, connecting the pleasure of retro visual design with the ongoing challenge of maintaining speed without losing the car’s direction through the next corner.
