DESCRIPTION:
Mario and Sonic’s casts meet for a collection of sporting events inspired by the Tokyo Olympics. More than thirty activities range from athletics and gymnastics to climbing, skateboarding, surfing and karate. Different control arrangements support motion or button play, allowing the approach to change with the event or the players’ preferences. Ten retro-style activities return the characters to an older two-dimensional appearance. Local multiplayer makes the sports a shared competition, with familiar rivals such as Luigi, Tails, Amy and Dr. Eggman offering character choices. The collection’s variety comes from learning several short rule sets rather than mastering one continuous sport or following a single long campaign.
