DESCRIPTION:
Enzo Favara sees an opportunity to escape a harsh life when the Torrisi crime family offers him a place among its ranks. Set in early twentieth-century Sicily, this third-person action adventure follows his effort to prove himself within an organisation governed by loyalty, violence and obligation. The landscape and communities of the island provide the setting for a story about the origins of organised crime and the appeal of belonging to a powerful family. Enzo’s progress exposes both the promise and the danger of that opportunity. A focused crime narrative connects personal ambition with the demands imposed by people who expect devotion in return for protection.
