DESCRIPTION:
Ben and Dan approach an apocalypse from entirely different gaming traditions. Ben prefers examining objects and solving old-fashioned adventure puzzles, while Dan would rather jump and move like a platform-game hero. Lair of the Clockwork God asks you to switch between them and combine those abilities as several world-ending disasters arrive together. Their solution involves teaching an ageing computer about human feelings, creating a comic framework for puzzles that connect two styles of play. The adventure stands on its own, requiring no knowledge of their earlier games. Its humour grows from the characters’ contrasting habits as they discover that neither approach can solve the crisis alone.
