DESCRIPTION:
Sam only intends to try his father’s old arcade machine, but the game pulls him into its pixelated world. Kingdom of Arcadia asks you to help him remove the spell affecting the kingdom and find a way home. Its five areas combine exploration with missions, hostile creatures and large bosses. New equipment bought from shops and gradual character improvements provide support as the challenges increase. The metroidvania structure encourages examining routes and overcoming obstacles within each region rather than moving through a single straight course. Retro-style visuals frame a familiar fantasy from an unusual perspective: an ordinary player has become the hero inside the machine.
