DESCRIPTION:
Galactic Wars EX sends three possible spacecraft against an approaching alien invasion. Each ship has different strengths, letting you choose a style before entering side-scrolling stages filled with insect-like enemies. Forty phases spread across three main areas provide regular opponents, larger bosses and intermediate threats. Weapons and power-ups change the available firepower, while bonuses and multipliers reward efficient play and repeat attempts at higher scores. A second player can join locally to share the defence of space. Pixel graphics, traditional hardware-inspired colour choices and an original chiptune score give the shooter a deliberately old-fashioned appearance supported by smooth, modern presentation.
