D-Unit Drift Racing (PS2) – Game Description

D-Unit Drift Racing is a drifting-focused racing game released for the PlayStation 2. Players compete in street-style drifting competitions set in gritty urban environments, earning money through races to unlock new cars, courses, and leagues. Progressing through racing leagues requires careful vehicle upgrades and strategic drifting performance as you build up your drifting career.

Key Features

• Drift-Centered Racing: Gameplay emphasizes drifting around corners and earning points, rather than traditional position-based racing.

• Progression via Upgrades & Unlocks: Win races to earn money, which is used to purchase upgrades, new cars, and access further racing leagues.

• Urban Circuit Settings: Courses are set in gritty, city-like environments that reinforce the street racing vibe.

• Limited Content: Features a small roster of cars and a modest number of tracks, leading to critiques about its depth.

• Split-Screen Multiplayer: Supports 1–2 players, allowing split-screen competitive drifting.

• Straightforward Presentation: Graphics are simple and reminiscent of early PS2 titles, with a low-budget feel.
