The Wireless Buzz! Buzzers are a set of handheld controllers designed for use with Sony’s Buzz! quiz game series on the PlayStation 3. Each buzzer features a large red “Buzz” button and four colored answer buttons (blue, orange, green, yellow), making them ideal for multiplayer trivia and party games.

The set typically includes four wireless buzzers and a USB receiver dongle that connects to the PS3 console. Powered by AA batteries, the buzzers communicate via 2.4 GHz wireless signal, providing reliable, low-latency input for up to eight players when two sets are connected.

Calibration & Setup Instructions:

What You’ll Need:

• 1 × PS3 console

• 1 × USB wireless receiver (included with the buzzer set)

• 4 × Wireless Buzz! buzzers

• 8 × AA batteries (2 per buzzer)

Setup Steps:

1. Insert Batteries:

   • Open the battery compartment on each buzzer.

   • Insert two AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/–).

2. Connect the USB Receiver:

   • Plug the USB receiver dongle into one of the PS3’s USB ports.

   • The receiver LED should light up, indicating it’s powered.

3. Turn On the Buzzers:

   • Press and hold the red Buzz button on each controller for a few seconds until its LED indicator flashes.

   • Each buzzer will automatically pair with the receiver — up to four buzzers per dongle.

4. Wait for Pairing:

   • The flashing LED on each buzzer will turn solid once connected.

   • If one does not connect, press the red button again to retry pairing.

5. Test the Connection:

   • From the PS3 main menu, start a Buzz! game.

   • In the game’s controller test screen or setup menu, press the colored buttons to ensure each buzzer responds correctly.

Recalibration or Troubleshooting:

If the buzzers are not responding properly:

• Re-sync manually:

  • Remove the USB dongle, wait 5 seconds, and reinsert it.

  • Press and hold the red button on each buzzer for 5–10 seconds to re-pair.

• Replace batteries if LEDs are dim or intermittent.

• Use a single receiver only — multiple receivers nearby can cause interference.

• Avoid metal obstructions between the buzzers and the receiver (keep within ~6 meters/20 feet).
