DESCRIPTION:
Geppy-X combines side-scrolling shooting with the structure and personality of a seventies super-robot television series. Its presentation includes opening songs, episode sequences, commercial-style breaks and previews, turning the campaign into an interactive broadcast rather than a simple succession of stages. Thousands of hand-drawn animation frames support the exaggerated machinery and dramatic storytelling associated with the genre. Originally released in Japan during the nineties, the remastered edition brings its unusual approach to a wider audience. Arcade action provides the direct challenge, while the surrounding television format gives battles a narrative rhythm that celebrates the ambitions and conventions of classic robot anime.
