As in previous Animal Crossings, the player takes on the role of mayor of the city and can make all the decisions necessary to manage its progress, for example, he can issue ordinances or commission public works. Up to 4 players can play together, one will be the mayor and the other 3 the residents. Through both the local wireless connection and the internet connection, players can visit their friends’ cities or they can go together to visit a special island where they will find nice games to play together.
