Xtreme Legends is stand-alone expansion that super-charges the DYNASTY WARRIORS 7 world with the following enhancements.

New characters join the battle!
Brand new characters Guo Jia & Wang Yi as well as returning hero Pang De bolster the ranks of Wei kingdom.

Secret Weapons
New ultra-powerful versions of DYNASTY WARRIORS 7 weapons can be unlocked by fulfilling certain conditions in the game. New weapon types are added to your armory and weapons such as the Dragon Spear, Sai, Battling Stick & Scimitar will further increase the variety of ways players can decimate opposing armies.

The new “Legend Mode”
Newly implemented “Legend Mode” allows players to tackle battles from both the past Dynasty Warriors series and brand new scenarios with all their favorite characters. In addition, players are able to make their castle town prosper and also employ a lieutenant from their favorite military commander. The lieutenant affects how the castle-town flourish in many different ways.

Challenge Mode
The Challenge Mode allows players to tackle various missions that allow them to fight for world-wide rankings. This mode is backed up with online leader boards which allow players to fight for the world no. 1 spot in the Dynasty Warriors universe!

Mixjoy
With this game, by reading in the original Dynasty Warriors 7 disc, the player will be able to experience a powered-up verson of the original Dynasty Warriors 7 Story mode and Conquest mode.

Japanese Voice-Over

“The Dynasty Warriors series is one of gaming’s most misunderstood franchises. It’s adored in Japan, where its combination of hack-and-slash action and Eastern history proves a compellingly cathartic release for hard-working salarymen. At the end of a tough day, there’s no series quite like Dynasty Warriors to take your frustrations out on. In what other game can you take apart 1000 enemies within a few minutes?

In the west, meanwhile, it enjoys cult success among fans that vigorously defend it against accusations that it’s nothing more than a simplistic, repetitive button-masher. To a degree that’s true – assuming you only play the game for a few levels on Easy mode. But such criticisms ignore the tactical depth of the higher difficulties, where split-second decisions can significantly alter the course of battle…It’s not nearly as shallow as it first seems.

Dynasty Warriors 7 Xtreme Legends makes no attempt to appeal to newcomers. This, it seems, is one for the fans…while it’s probably the best Dynasty Warriors game to date, the lack of genuinely new content combined with its unwillingness to cater to those who are fresh to the franchise make it hard to wholeheartedly recommend.” 7/10
