Ring of Red is a real-time strategy and role-playing game for the PlayStation 2 (PS2). The game was developed and published by Konami and released in March 2001.

Gameplay:

In Ring of Red, players control mechs and soldiers in battles that combine real-time action with turn-based strategy.
Players choose from five mechs, a pilot, and ground troops.
Players must use quick reflexes and clever strategies to defeat enemies.
Players can prepare for battles using a grid method.
Players can stay back to recover, fix up, and resupply their troops.

Story:

Ring of Red is set in an alternate history where the Allies invaded Japan to end World War II instead of using the atomic bomb.
The game takes place in the 1960s, when Japan was split into North and South Japan.
The game begins with a test battle for prototype mechs called Armoured Fighting Walkers (AFWs).
