To use your existing Xbox One Kinect Sensor with a new Xbox One S or Xbox One X console, you’ll need an Xbox Kinect Adaptor.
Things to keep in mind
The Kinect sensor and Kinect Adaptor have been discontinued. You can still use your Kinect with your Xbox 360 or Xbox One, but the sensor is not compatible with Xbox Series X|S consoles.
Microsoft no longer carries inventory of either device. Check other retail stores for adaptor availability.

Plug the wall plug into the power supply.
Insert the round connector of the power supply into the Kinect hub.
Insert the Kinect sensor cable into the Kinect hub.
Insert the included USB cable into the Kinect hub. You’re now ready to connect the adaptor to your console.
Insert the USB 3.0 cable into the left USB port labelled “Kinect” on the back of the console. Your Kinect sensor is now ready to be set up on your console.
For best results, make sure your sensor and adaptor aren’t sitting directly on top of your console.
On your console, press the Xbox button ? to open the guide
Select Profile & system > Settings > Devices & streaming.
Select Kinect and follow the instructions to set up your sensor.
